Welcome to Monday Fodder Home Page
This is the the home page of Monday Fodder which I also send out weekly by e-mail. You can subscribe by clicking here.
Monday Fodder has been a blog longer than blogs were called blogs! It started in 1995 with jokes I was sending to a few friends. A pastor friend commented that he needed something to laugh about on Mondays. That was where the “Monday” came from in the name.
Another friend commented that he enjoyed my “guffaw fodder”. I liked the ring to those words and it became “Monday Guffaw Fodder”
I was in the States from ’95 - ’96 and when I returned to Hong Kong. I decided to start adding some of the highlights or prayer requests of the week and also serious articles or illustrations that I had been collecting. Thus, the “Guffaw” part no longer applied in the name. Since 1997 the name I’ve used since then has been “Monday Fodder”.
Monday Fodder continues to deliver quotes, stories, sermon illustrations and jokes, as well as personal views and news of life in Hong Kong (or wherever we might be at any particular time).
My hope is that Monday Fodder is an encouragement and blessing to you!
